Job Responsibilities

The role of traffic manager involves managing traffic for one or more operational areas within the logistics business area. You will work on planning the services provided within the operational area. You are responsible for optimizing the daily planning of assignments and ensuring that traffic management is performed cost-effectively and according to customer agreements. You will also work to improve delivery precision and report quality deficiencies.

You will closely collaborate with our drivers, customer service, operations managers, team leaders, and to some extent our customers to achieve optimal planning and a logistically and commercially efficient production. You will lead traffic, allocate assignments, and follow up on planned activities in real-time. At Renova, we all work with participatory improvement efforts to continuously develop and streamline our operations, which is central to how we work at all levels.

You will support both management and drivers regarding the execution of assignments and actively participate in suggesting and implementing improvements to continuously enhance quality. Your tasks will also include administrative duties and daily follow-up of reported assignments to achieve accurate reporting and an efficient working method.

Working hours may vary as traffic management is staffed from 06:00 to 16:30 on weekdays and some public holidays. You will be based in our offices just a short walk from the central station in Gothenburg, with a view over the Göta River.

Qualifications

You have at least a high school diploma and training in logistics or several years of professional experience in logistics or traffic management, which we consider comparable.

You have good IT skills and are proficient in the Office suite and have experience working with a traffic planning system, such as EDP or BF bud. To succeed in this role, you should speak easily understandable Swedish and express yourself well both verbally and in writing.

The position involves many different points of contact both internally at Renova and externally with our owner municipalities. Therefore, we want you to be unpretentious, attentive, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. You have a positive demeanor, are self-assured, and can make and convey decisions. Furthermore, you are responsible and solution-oriented. You have an interest in working with quality and development issues and are happy to contribute both your ideas and analyses in the work with continuous improvements. You naturally have an interest in environmental issues and adhere to and work according to Renova's principles of Holistic Perspective, Engagement, Togetherness, and Responsibility.

Conditions

The temporary position covers the period from May 2026 to September 2027.
